The second conspiracy theory is addressing the original company that funded the DIA called The New World Airport Commission, which has never existed (“You May or May Not Have Heard” 1). Everyone that crosses the threshold into the DIA will pass by the dedication plaque which displays a carving of the Freemasons symbol above the words “New World Airport Commission” (Humphries 1). When searching for information on the New World Airport Commission there is not much to find except for conspiracies linked to the DIA. How is a foundation that has never existed able to fund a multi-billion-dollar airport? The lack of information on the New World Airport Commission has drawn people to the conclusion that “New World Order” was actually responsible for the idea and initial funds (Humphries 1). Airports provide quick and easy travel to anywhere in the world which would greatly benefit a secret organization of elitist trying to create a dictatorship in order to take over the world (Humphries 1). Any organization that has an entire airport close to the middle of the United States would have a significant advantage over any opposing forces. When the DIA was questioned, Alex Renteria stated “the Freemasons created the plaque and that the phrasing refers to the idea that DEN was a new international airport "so, we were considered a new world airport — sort of access to the world." (Humphries 1).
